My horse was recently stolen and has been sent to a horse trader 500 miles away who has since sent her to who knows where. I have contacted NetPosse, and they are being a wonderful help and support. It is astonishing how often this happens to so many and how the legal system and local authorities turn a blind eye. This is a wonderful idea. What better equine representive than Idaho, a symbol of hope and courage to so many.

I have 4 horses with 2 more on the way and the thought of any of my KIDS (horses) being stolen from me..would be so devastating!! I believe that making more people associated with the equestrian world aware of the high volume of horses being stolen/lost is essential in their recovery. They also need to grant NetPosse with the honor of having the horse IDAHO being made into a Breyer Model..

1,371 2:26 am PST, Jan 27 Victoria Mary Stong / Animal Rights Activist Long Island City New York United States No. I commend the sponsor of this petition for caring so much about the welfare and safekeeping of all horses. It outrages me that people are stealing other peoples Horses and they can count me in if they need help hunting them down! I am not a professional, but have lots of experience in catching criminals in my own right. Anyway, I also want to bring to the attention another problem against Horses:The sponsor Mr. Cunningham of the petition "Membership Input Futurity and Derby Plans" got angry when I left a very RESPECTFUL comment asking that he put in his rules not to slaughter Horses for his Horseracing business. In response he deleted my commments 2 times! He also emailed me that it's necessary to slaughter Horses in his business! I LOVE this petition and signed around 50 anti-slaughter Horse petitions so far. I ASK EVERYONE TO SIGN "Membership Input Futurity and Derby Plans" PETITION SOLELY TO TELL HIM TO STOP SLAUGHTERING ANIMALS. His excuse was that I'm not a member, but tens of non-members are signing this petition. Please help in the prevention of Horse Slaughter and sign Mr. Cunnningham's petition asking him to amend his rules stating not to slaughter and kill Horses but to instead send them to a sanctuary when they are unwanted? I want to greatly thank the sponsor of this petition their hard work and effort to save the Horses and Cats so that not so many animal will suffer under the hands of heartless and cruel people. God bless you. People like you make this world a better place in which to live just like the animals we all protect!~~~~~~~*For what it's worth; I'm a Former Student & Horsebackrider at The Knox School in St. James, New York and also participated proudly in 3 Horse Shows on their Campus. 1,364 8:09 am PST, Jan 3 Brenda Price Nanjemoy Maryland United States No, thank God
1,363 1:00 pm PST, Jan 2 Cindy Funk Folsom California United States not personally but at my barn This horse represents so much more than just one horse being recovered--there is much awareness in our own ranks but there needs to be an awareness outside of our horse world. We can't ignore these criminal activities except when they are our own animals. This site is an example of how powerful we can be if we just take the time. Our horses are our lifetime commitment not just for a fleeting fancy. Anytime we can be part of reuniting a horse with its owner--this is something we should celebrate. Idaho represents all of our beloved horses!!
1,362 6:34 am PST, Dec 27 Bentley Richards Del Rio Texas United States Not theft, but I was able to re-purchase my childhood show-horse after 12 years of no contact with her. Reconnecting with Bear and getting to have her live the retirement life she deserves is priceless. I can't imagine the pain of having a horse stolen from me! This is a beautiful and noble tribute to the universal tragedy of horse theft- I can't think of a better candidate for a new Breyer model!
