Protect LGBT Americans from Workplace Discrimination

There are NO federal laws protecting gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender citizens from workplace discrimination, even though Congress has had a golden solution in its back pocket since 1994.

90 percent of transgender people and up to 45 percent of gay people experience some form of harassment or mistreatment in the workplace.

The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) would uplift workplaces nationwide--granting legal protection so workers aren't passed up for a promotion, fired, demoted, or harassed because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

John Boehner is completely apathetic about LGBT workplace rights, and was just reelected as the Speaker of the House. Employment discrimination continues to drag down the LGBT community while Speaker Boehner lets ENDA collect dust.

Tell Speaker Boehner: LGBT Americans deserve protection from workplace discrimination. It's time to pass ENDA!
Dear Speaker Boehner,

When asked about the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), you responded, "I haven't seen the bill, I haven't thought much about it." The bill was introduced to Congress in 1994. By 2013, you, the speaker of the United States House of Representatives, should have given it some thought.

A staggering amount of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people experience workplace discrimination and harassment. If a worker is fired, mistreated, demoted, or passed up for a promotion because of their sexual orientation or gender identity, they have no federal protection to fall back on.

The LGBT community is still highly vulnerable to workplace discrimination because Congress has failed to enact ENDA for nearly 20 years.

Don't wait another year to protect gay, lesbian, transgender, and bisexual people from workplace discrimination!
