Nearly 8,000 females a day are subjected to Female Genital Cutting (FGC) and its consequences (which include severe pain and bleeding, infections, shock and trauma, and even death). This inhumane practice takes place primarily in Africa, but evidence shows the occurrence of FGC in various European countries as well.
It is imperative that existing FGC directives be implemented in all
European Union (EU) countries. It is not enough that survivors of FGC
are given asylum in the EU; more assistance must be given. Better
Health care access, data collection, and dialogues are needed.
Take action today and tell EU officials to adopt a definitive strategy on FGC.

Keep up the great work. Look what you've accomplished!
