Help protect Adriatic sea and coastline

In the small town of Stobrec, which is a suburb of Split-the second biggest city in Croatia, is going to happen an environmental hazard.

In area of Stobrec, unpolluted beaches and clear sea, will vanish. This area and local residents are endangered by developmental project, which includes effusions of industrial and domestic toxic water, rubbish and sanitation of all Split region (about 125 000 residents). The problem is that local government is not intending to put biological-chemical purifier, but only mechanical. Also they are intending to put the drain only 1,8 kilometres from coast. Doing this project (which is just now happening) its done by the Government a string of omissions and sins which are not in accordance with the International and Croatian law of environmental protection. Don’t forget that this drain with toxic waters will be the biggest drain on the Adriatic Sea. Local ecological agency Epetium is demanding (from the Government) to put immediately biological-mechanical purifier and tallness of drain at least 5,5 kilometres from coastline.

Support us because this area is precious natural and community resource to its residents and lots of their tourists.

Support our efforts to keep Adriatic Sea clean for the future of our children.
