Proposed Ban on Confederate Flags, Promise and/or Plans of Community Gardens, Sustainable Agrilcultural Methods and Fair Pay for Farm Laborers in Starke County, Indiana

I reside in Starke County, Indiana and after experiencing social tension from extremism in youth cults as well as drugs and violence I have made it my life's mission to resolve these issues for myself, my family, community and hopefully in the end my region, my state, my country and the entire world.

One of the extremist youth cults in Starke County is the Neo-Confederate extremist youth cult. It embraces the Southern culture and histoy of forced slave labor reminescent of the Confederate South from the American Civil War for massive industrial agriculture, which is again, supported by slave labor. The Southern Poverty Law Center of Alabama, a law enforcement organization based in Alabama with a focus on anti-extremism, recognizes Neo-Confederates as a definite extremist group.

This petition is one of many I am creating to tackle the issues of youth cults including their extremist political identities, drug and alcohol abuse and dangerous sport activities which can combine to create a cocktail of social tension, leading to more war and migration whether it is self-harm, family violence, community violence, regional violence, state-wide violence, country-wide violence or global violence.

This petition also asks for social reforms to resolve this social tension beyond the ban of Confederate culture. This would include a demand for Starke County elected representatives to establish plans and promises for community gardens, sustainable agriculture (including, but not limited to crop-rotation) as well as Fair Pay Labor Laws for Farm Laborers.

A much more wise and considerate social reform would be to create a psychological connection of gardening or farming into the social lives of our community, especially the youth who will be raising the succeeding generations. What better way to do that then to establish community gardens, sustainable agricultural regulations and Fair Pay Labor Regulations for Farm Laborers. The Fair Pay Labor Regulations would include, but not be limited to, ensuring that Farm Laborers receive a minimum wage pay for their labor. Also, more research and utilization of successful farm planning is critical to prevent crop failure which leads to loss for the farmer where he resorts to cheap and sometimes illegaly unfairly paid labor. If a farm worker can not earn enough to take care of himself or even his family, then the farmer's social tension is simply offset to a poor neighborhood. The youths of those poor neighborhoods then offset their social tension elsewhere including at schools and parks where the children of any family, rich or poor, can be affected. Please act now to preserve a better future for the youth and the generations that follow them in our community by enacting the policies of this petition.
