Back in May, Congress said that after Al Fraken was sworn in, the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) would be an eight-week fight and then a vote in the Senate. Unfortunately, eight months have passed without a vote!
If passed, EFCA would enable working people to bargain for better wages, benefits and working conditions by giving workers the freedom to join a union and engage in collective bargaining.
America's latest job satisfaction numbers aren't good, and it is up to us to level the play field for all workers and prevent salary increases from just benefiting company CEOs.
The Obama administration has neglected labor for far too long. Tell President Obama stand up for working Americans and act on the EFCA in 2010!
Dear President Obama,
Too many Americans are out of work or struggling to find work, and for those lucky enough to have a job, the latest job satisfaction numbers aren't good. I am writing you today to urge you to stand up for hard working Americans and support the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA).

If passed, EFCA would allow working people to bargain for better wages, benefits and working conditions by giving workers the freedom and the right to join a union and engage in collective bargaining.
You and your administration have neglected labor in a time when American workers need the most support they can get. 2010 is a new year and I am urging you to take action restoring workers' rights in this country.
Sincerely,
