Ask Your Governor To Take The Pledge

The governor of America's most populous state and the former mayor of the country's largest city are picking up where the president left off. Last month President Trump embarrassed us in front of the world by withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement - a multinational accord to lower greenhouse gas emissions and stave off a climate disaster.

The US became the first country to do so and joined Syria and Nicaragua in the list of those who refuse to acknowledge the importance of waging a coordinated and comprehensive attack on one of the greatest threats to our survival - global warming.

But while the federal government has decided to turn its back on common sense environmental policy, more than 2000 state and city governments, universities, and business leaders have decided to lead America's charge and prove to the world that our Americans take climate change seriously.

Signers of "America's Pledge" will track their entities to reduce global-warming carbon emissions just as the federal government would have done under the PCA. Signatories include some of America's most powerful local and state governments as well as multi-billion dollar business.

So far only nine states have signed, if we are going to do our part to make a real impact we need every governor to take the pledge. Sign the petition and ask your governor to add his name to the list. And let's fight climate change together.

Dear Governor,

President Trump set America back by withdrawing from the PCA. Global consensus among science and world leaders say that climate change is real and we must fight it or we will destroy this planet. Our future is now in your hands, please pick up where Trump left off and commit to "America’s Pledge".
