If like me, any driver that has been observed driving just over a speed limit on a road that does not have the correct speed displayed, should sign this petition.
Any Police operation speed trapping drivers should only be allowed on roads that are adequately signed, and the local council should liase with our Police force to make sure any roads that are not properly signed, should be. Not just keep setting up speed traps catching drivers who think they are doing nothing illigal.
There is a huge difference between driving just over a legal limit where there is no signage, and HOONING around!
Hopefully if there is enough support from this, we can make the policechange their behaviour of targeting drivers in areas of confusion over the correct speed and we can get all roads properly signed!
The only roads under Australian law that do not require a speed sign are 50Kmh zones. How many roads do you see speed traps on where the change in speed is not adequately signed. Are the police trying to catch confused drivers, or seriously have an affect on the bad drivers on our roads.
