| 1,213 | 6:14 pm PDT, Mar 11 | Heather Riede | Costa Mesa | California | United States | Companies especially ones as big as Amazon.com have a huge impact on people, the environment and animals, whether they admit it or not, and therefore should do business as responsibly as possible holding up good moral values that would not let the selling of animals from such cruelty exist on their own website. Froi gras should be banned world wide as it is very inhumane and I don't know who thought it was a great idea to do in the first place, but it's time to embrace humanity's oneness with the rest of nature and quit disrespecting nature and animals in any way, or abusing them. Grow up and be responsible, stop selling anything like froi gras and anything else that hurts animals and the environment on your website. | |
| 1,212 | 1:56 pm PDT, Mar 8 | Mr. | ChristopherRalph Eusebio | Las Vegas | Nevada | United States | I do not believe anything that involves cruelty to animals as something that should be allowed. Isn't killing chickens and cows for food good enough for all carnivorous humans? To go and torture other animals for "something different" or to try new "delicacies" is just disgusting. Trying in every way to remain respectful while expressing my views, ChristopherRalph Eusebio |

| 1,201 | 6:16 pm PST, Jan 19 | Ms. | Vanessa Cole | Woodstock | New York | United States | Foie Gras is horrible for the animals providing the "fat liver"; it is also horrible for people to eat! If you want to encourage the torture of animals, and the consumption of toxic foods, then continue to sell foie gras! Or, do something beneficial to society, and discontinue these sales! |
Please stop selling Foie Gras at Amazon.com
Originally, all foie gras came from France, but now the United Stateshas gotten into this cruel niche industry. Next time you go into a
store or restaurant that sells foie gras, please let them know that a
product that comes from force-feeding ducks and geese is more than you
can stomach.
Two companies produce all of the domestically raised foie gras in the
United States. New York State’s Hudson Valley Foie Gras and
California’s Sonoma Foie Gras. Combined, they are responsible for the
torture and death of half a million ducks every year. (GC)
Here are three things that GourmetCruelty.com suggests that we share with others
and we'd like you to review this information yourself:
- Request a copy of Delicacy of Despair and show your friends, family, and co-workers what goes on behind the closed doors of foie gras factory farms.
- Educate
local restaurants and grocery stores about the animals suffering on
foie gras factory farms, and ask them to take this gourmet cruelty off
their menus and shelves. - Find out more about the exciting legislative actions that are being taken against foie gras production and what you can do to help.
We petition you to read our informational links and please take the foie gras off of Amazon.com to avoid the onset of the continued boycott of Amazon.com by many concerned customers and interested parties.
Your commitment to Co-op America is that you are "GREEN" because:
"1) its familiarity with and commitment to social and environmental responsibility, and 2) significant action in terms of this commitment. "
Selling Foie Gras from Amazon.com doesn't make you GREEN and you need to either remove the products or drop out of these programs
where you are portraying yourself as GREEN.
Sincerely,
