Stop Idaho's Killing Contest! Reverse Federal Approval for the Wolf and Predator Hunt!

An outrageous predator killing competition has been approved by the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for 5 million acres in Idaho. The contest is scheduled to take place on America’s PUBLIC lands, each January for FIVE YEARS.

Wolves play a vital role in the health of our wilderness areas, yet we sit aside and let the BLM encourage the public to shoot them?!? The federal government spent decades and millions of dollars to recover wolves in the Northern Rockies and now they are facilitating their decline.

Who do the BLM represent?  The millions of Americans who want to preserve their wilderness areas and wildlfe?  Or, do they represent a small minority of hunters who don't want to share the land with predators that they see as competition for elk or other popular game?

This contemptible decision will be fought in a court of law and the cost to the BLM will be enormous.  The American people’s hard earned tax money goes into paying the expenses of the BLM, including defending their shameful decision to allow this kill fest!! A decision that should never have been made in the first place.

The BLM’s record in “managing” America’s public lands is questionable at best, but this decision is just plain wrong and needs to reversed. Sign the petition and we can show the BLM how we want our lands and wildlife managed!
