Thank President Obama for Cleaner Air and Tell Him to Keep Up the Good Work!

At the end of last year, the Obama Administration issued historic protections from dangerous power plant pollution. The Mercury and Air Toxics Standards for Power Plants are strong, sensible safeguards that will protect Americans, particularly pregnant women and young children, from toxic mercury and other dangerous heavy metals.

Our work is not over yet -- we need the Obama Administration to keep it up by introducing new carbon protections.

Tell President Obama and EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson to keep up the good work and continue fighting for cleaner air for all Americans!
Dear President Obama and Administrator Jackson,

Because of your Administration's leadership, Americans now have protections against mercury and other toxic power plant pollutants. Thank you for standing up for clean air and protecting our families! Unfortunately, our work is not over and we need you to continue fighting to hold polluters accountable for their dangerous emissions.

Carbon pollution is the main contributor to climate disruption and is linked to life-threatening air pollution like asthma-inducing smog, making it a serious hazard to Americans' health and future. There are currently no limits on the amount of this pollution that dirty power plants can spew into our air.

By setting up carbon pollution protections, the EPA is moving forward to clean up and modernize the way we power our country -- a move that will equal healthier kids, families and workers, while creating much-needed jobs and fighting climate disruption.

I strongly support your Administration's anticipated New Source Performance Standards, which would begin to address this growing problem. We need strong protections from carbon pollution today! Thank you.

Sincerely,
