Mobilize Against World Hunger: Support the Global Food Security Act

One in 9 people in the world — including tens of millions of children — suffer from chronic hunger. And every day, a child dies in the arms of her mother from malnourishment. It's an outrage because hunger is a solvable problem.

CARE's advocacy team stands up for the rights of women, children and families around the world. Our group of more than 200,000 advocates work to urge lawmakers in Washington, D.C., to take action to address important issues like global poverty and hunger by supporting lifesaving legislation such as the Global Food Security Act of 2015 (H.R. 1567 and S. 1252).

This bipartisan bill puts the focus on women and smallholder food producers, and leverages the sustainable use of natural resources to address global hunger.

Take action today and ask your lawmakers to co-sponsor the Global Food Security Act of 2015 (H.R. 1567 and S. 1252).
To whom it may concern:

I am a supporter of CARE and I am writing to urge you to co-sponsor H.R. 1567 -- the Global Food Security Act of 2015, a bill that codifies and improves U.S. global food security programs by ensuring transparent investments in women and smallholder farmers.

With 1 in 9 people in the world suffering from chronic hunger, we need a sustainable, comprehensive strategy. Too many lives are at stake -- including infants and young children. Hunger is a solvable problem, and the tragic loss of life to malnourishment is senseless!

Please take a stand against world hunger and support the Global Food Security Act.
