Protect Our Children - Every One Deserves Healthcare

Target: President Obama
Sponsored by: Care2
Every 39 seconds, a child in the United Sates is born uninsured. Nine million children have no health insurance - that's one in nine. In this economic recession, more and more parents are sacrificing their children's health care in order to get by.

Without access to basic health care, children are at a higher risk of having developmental problems and are likely to miss more school. The lack of health insurance stands as a serious detriment to our children's physical, educational and financial futures.

It would cost each American less than 15 cents a day to provide nine million uninsured children with vision, dental and mental health coverage. Lack of proper healthcare is a serious problem, but if we put our minds to it, there are solutions within reach! The children of our nation are our future, so encourage President Obama to continue to support healthcare coverage for uninsured children.

Dear President Obama,

Every 39 seconds, a child in the United Sates is born uninsured. Nine million children have no health insurance - that's one in nine. For one of the most sophisticated and developed countries in the world, these numbers are too simply high.

Due to the economic recession, more and more parents are sacrificing their children's health care in order to get by. But this is not something we can afford to sacrifice; the lack of health insurance stands as a serious detriment to our children's physical, educational and financial futures.

It would cost each American less than 15 cents a day to provide nine million uninsured children with vision, dental and mental health coverage. This is a serious problem, but if we put our minds to it, there are solutions within reach. Please continue to fight for the improvement of our health care system; our children are our future.

Sincerely,
