Save Utah's Magnificent Red Rock Wilderness

If you've had the opportunity to see Utah's red rock country, you'll remember it. With its majestic landscape, towering buttes, red sandstone plateaus and deep, winding canyons, it's the only place on earth like it. Unfortunately this treasured land is at great risk.

Oil and gas exploration threatens the pristine wilderness, and off-road-vehicles destroy vegetation and leave tracks that can last for a generation in the fragile desert ecosystem.

America's Red Rock Wilderness Act is a bill that would give wilderness protection to more than 9 million acres of red rock wilderness in southern Utah. This magnificent canyon area is federal public land -- land that belongs to all Americans.

Let Congress know you want the red rock wilderness in Utah to be rescued and protected. Urge them to support and co-sponsor "America's Red Rock Wilderness Act" (ARWA).

Dear [Decision Maker],

Please support and cosponsor America's Red Rock Wilderness Act (H.R.1925/S. 799), a bill that will protect over 9 million acres of Utah's magnificent red rock canyon lands.

This land of red sandstone plateaus and deep, winding canyons is one of the nation's most spectacular landscapes and is a national treasure. There is no place on earth like it. Unfortunately Utah's red rock country is at great risk from oil and gas exploration and uncontrolled abuse by off-road-vehicles, which destroy vegetation and leave tracks that can last for a generation in the fragile desert ecosystem.
