We can hardly enjoy our own security while we see hard working people around us without coverage. When their employers do not provide insurance or they have been denied because of present health conditions, their future must cause many anxious thoughts.

I am currently unemployed (laid off through no fault of my own), and my medical benefits are about to expire. I find it appalling that President Obama's proposal includes a FINE for people without insurance.

The insurance companies need this competition to keep them in line with cost and care for those who need it.Otherwise,they will go on denying those who need care,and their costs will just multiply over the coming years.We cannot afford to just stand by and do nothing.The greed and uncaring procedures of these insurance companies has to end with Health Care Reform for all.My husband was denied surgery by his compensation insurance.I have no insurance like many others.NOW is the time!

Health reform means affordable care will be there for you, no matter what. If you lose your job, or your kid loses his. If you get sick. When you retire. Affordable health care will be there for you, no matter what. That means you and your family can’t fall through the cracks and won’t go broke because of health care bills. We are so close to real reform, but getting over the finish line will be a battle. We are up against giant insurance companies, a Republican Party that wants President Obama to fail and the corporate media like Fox and Rush Limbaugh. The reality is that health care costs are spiraling out of control, and everyone in America deserves quality and affordable care. Health care reform simply can’t wait. We will all be better off with real reform.

Single parents who have deadbeat dads that do not provide support for their children will have affordable, quality care for their children, as they should. Mothers who work two and three jobs, pay taxes, but cannot afford health coverage would be able to get good quality care for themselves. A great deal of single moms don't even have well check ups, and often go years until severe health problems occur, before they are able to seek care. Like many, they don't make enough money to afford heath insurance and the insane out of pocket expenses and they make a few bucks too much, to get public assistance. Sad, but we all deserve healthcare.
