ALL Refugees Have Rights-Support the Men, Women and Children Detained on the Island of Nauru

People seeking political asylum in Australia are being detained indefinitely on the island of Nauru. They are not allowed legal counsel or visitors. They have no hope, only the constant threat of being returned to the terror from which they fled.
Australia has instituted, despite UN international guidelines, a policy which places all refugees and asylum seekers in detention centers without a judicial review process. No exceptions. Men, women, children, and infants. Farmers, doctors, storekeepers, engineers, students, Christians, Muslims. No exceptions. All are living behind razor wire. Many have been there for several years without hope of freedom and with the constant threat of being returned to the terror from which they fled. One of the worst of these detention centers is located on the island of Nauru. Several hundred people are warehoused there. They are not allowed legal counsel or visitors. They are people without hope. How can a "multi-cultural" nation such as Australia be so callous and dettached? How can they dehumanize people whose only "crime" was to flee to its shores seeking safety for themselves and their families? Fair and just people around the world need to let Australia know-WE ARE WATCHING. The people in the Nauru detention center are NOT alone. We support their pleas for freedom and safety, and we stand with all people who are victims of terror and hate whether it's promoted by dictators or "civilized" governments.
