Congress decides every five years how our food will be produced when they vote on the Food and Farm Bill.
We all want healthful, tasty food, but the Food and Farm Bill should also support modern farming practices that do not harm the foundations of our food supply. Government policy needs to address issues like healthy soil, fresh water, and the effects of some farm practices on our health, like adding antibiotics to the feed of animals that are not sick leading to antibiotic resistance in bacteria.
The House and Senate are working right now to resolve the differences between the two versions of this bill they passed last year.

No brainer when we have to ask the government to do the right thing it's obvious the current government has to go and I mean to prison. Labor camps, televised labor camps so the new politicians will see where they will end up if they forget who they work for. LoL I am dead serious in fact i hope somebody proposes this. the health of the farming practice is the health of the planet and all the people. The profit should come from the well-being of the soil, animals and consumers, not into the pockets of ingnorance, greed and denial of the government, monsanto etc.!
