Rescind Bush's Weakened Endangered Species Act Ruling!
Target:Ken Salazar, Secretary of the Interior Sponsored by:Earthjustice
On his way out of office, Bush wrote a rule that allows agencies to skip review by federal wildlife scientists on projects like road building, oil and gas leasing and logging. This scientific review is critical in making sure that these projects don't harm endangered species and their habitats.
Fortunately, President Obama signed a law that gives Interior Secretary Ken Salazar 60 days to withdraw the damaging Bush regulations. Salazar's deadline to act is May 10.
If Secretary Salazar fails to rescind the Bush regulations within this time period, the regulations stay in effect and wildlife on the brink of extinction will lose legal protections they need to survive.
The clock is ticking! Tell Secretary Salazar to rescind the Bush regulations and keep precious wildlife under the protection of a strong Endangered Species Act.

we are not the only beings on this planet, but we are the only ones who can change and reverse the damage we have caused.

Dear Secretary Salazar,
I like endangered species and feel that they should be protected, though I urge you to carefully consider all sides of the issue before you take a stand one way or the other. Thank your for your time!
Ashley

Are you going to do this or are you going to continue the devastation caused by the last administration?

It is sad to think of these beautiful animals becoming extinct. Please, for the sake of our children, do not allow this to happen.

We've been deregulated nearly to complete ruin. It's time to get things back under control. Deregulation is so easy for corporations to exploit that it becomes analogous to lawlessness. Anarchy is not any kind of desirable state of existence. Please, please undo the damage done by members of the Bush administration. I know there is a great deal of damage that was done, but we need to start by getting regulations and oversight back into place - to protect what we still have left. Thanks much!
