Save Washington's Wolves

Wolves were once native to Washington and are now finally making a comeback. With the return of this magnificent species, a "State Wolf Conservation and Management Plan" was developed using an extensive public process that took five years. But two bills now pending in the Washington legislature would gut the plan and turn over wolf-management and killing authority to county officials and sheriffs who are simply not qualified to make decisions about endangered wolves.

Please, send your State Senator a letter today to urge opposition to S.B. 5188 and S.B. 5193 and protect Washington's wolves,

Then consider making polite, brief phone call to your state senator to urge opposition to S.B. 5188 and S.B. 5193. Call your senator at 1-800-562-6000, and say, "I would like you to please protect Washington's wolves by opposing S.B. 5188 and S.B. 5193."
Dear Senator,

Please protect Washington's wolves and oppose S.B. 5188 and S.B. 5193.

Each of these bills would gut entire portions of the "State Wolf Conservation and Management Plan," which was recently adopted after a comprehensive, five-year public process. The bills would substantially weaken protections for wolves and reverse the recovery of wolves in our
state.

Recovery of any at-risk species, including wolves, must be based on science, not politics. Please stand up for sound science and for Washington's wolves by opposing these bills.
