On behalf of my 9 year old daughter Anica, born the same month as Amalia, I ask you to consider this: companies like Shell are still investing hundreds of billions of dollars or euros every year, knowing full well that the oil and gas and coal they find and recover are causing Global Warming. That Global Warming will result in unimaginable misery for kids like ours' all across the World: Famines and Floodings, Forest Fires, Melting Polar Ice, loss of Biodiversity (maybe up to 90% or more?) and something close to your Heart: Watershortage.
My daughter told me: "Papa, ze moeten de olie in de grond laten!" and essentially it really is that simple! So, investing money in further exploration and recovery is morally wrong. And if that is true, is earning money because of shares in a company like Shell not also morally wrong? IF we are to limit Global Warming, 80% to 90% of the Fossil Fuels MUST to stay in the ground. Yet these companies invest hundreds of billions in finding more fossil fuels and PRIDE themselves for investing a paltry few billions in renewable energy. That HAS to stop.
Your Majesty, we realize You do not control ROYAL Dutch Shell. Your stock holdings are not the majority share. But should You choose to take action, boardrooms across the World would take notice! Please take a moral stand, for our children - and incidentally also for protecting your wealth which is at risk - and join a global DIVESTMENT movement: sell all Your shares in Fossil Fuel companies!

Billions of children around the World will reap what we sow... and right now that is CO² in ever increasing amounts, causing Global Warming. I'm sure you are well aware of the issues, the problems we cause and face.
Anyone owning shares in Fossil Fuel companies ought to consider that making profits now comes at the expense of our childrens' futures.
Through Birth Your actions - regardless of the number of shares involved - will have a symbolic value far greater than actions of most other people on Earth. So Anica and I and all other children across the World petition You, please take a stand and DIVEST.
