Lengthen the green light cycle at Eagle Road and State Street M-F between 7am-9am (Westbound from Ea

Young students driving to Eagle High School encounter green lights are unusually short which have caused a safety concern for many drivers. The left turning light from Eagle Road (Northbound) onto State Street (Westbound) needs to be examined for safety reasons and a better flow of heavy morning traffic.

Every day young drivers during the early morning hours of 7am-9am have to wait several light cycles or chose to run the red light during a heavy period of traffic. There have been several traffic accidents and potentially more daily.

Our petition is to ask the ADA COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT to examine the light cycle at Eagle and State Street.  Then to extend the length of the left turning cycle between 7am and 9am Monday thru Friday.

While you are examining the light at Eagle Road and State Street please also examine the light at Island Woods leaving the Island Woods Subdivision and Two Rivers.

The light cycle turning onto Eagle Road needs to have some type of sensor or sensor adjustment to better control traffic flow.

Thank you!
