Help Tigers, Elephants, Rhinos, Sea Turtles, and Great Apes

What would our world and lives be without these extraordinary creatures? Yet each of these five world famous animal groups face grave threats to their survival in the wild, and they need our help to protect them.

Our government recognized this years ago and created the Multinational Species Conservation Fund run by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. While each of the five Funds is authorized to receive $5 million annually, Congress has never appropriated more than $1.4 million per year per program. Even with such limited funding, the program has a proven track record of success. The purpose of this petition is to urge Congress to appropriate at least $2 million toward each program to make them even more effective.

Naples Zoo is joining with the other 209 accredited members of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) representing a total 143 million visitors annually in asking you to get involved now and send a message to Congress – You care about these imperiled species and want to help protect them in the wild. Please take a moment and sign the attached petition asking for at least $2 million for each of the wildlife species covered under the Multinational Species Conservation Funds.

Please help us with this unprecedented opportunity to protect wildlife in wild places.
