Be an Advocate for Education in Conflict Nations

Children all over the world are suffering from the choices of generations before them. They suffer from government and rebel leaders who continue to choose conflict over peace. But for these children, who know nothing but a life filled with the harsh realities of war, education offers a way to break the cycle of conflict and poverty.

The education of children has the unique ability to promote peace in Conflict-Affected Fragile States (CAFS.) Education can give hope to 39 million children worldwide who are currently out of school due to war conflicts.

Schools in CAFS become a refuge for communities. Schools in CAFS go beyond reading and writing, they teach children life skills to help them survive in war ravaged nations, skills such as landmine and HIV/AIDS awareness. Schools also offer psychological healing.

Children and parents in conflict-affected countries know how important education can be, and are willing participants. With the help of organizations that work to give the opportunity of education, all children can learn a better life without conflict.
Pledge to be an advocate for the education of 39 million children worldwide who are out of school in Conflict-Affected Fragile States. Education can be a gateway to peace in CAFS where children have never seen freedom from conflict.
