Save the Arson Dog Program For San Bernardino City

Due to the current budget crisis in the City of San Bernardino, the Arson Dog Program is slated to be cut if the necessary funds can not be raised to subsidize the program.

Each year billions of dollars worth of property damage and hundreds of lives are lost due to the crime of arson.

With the economy in its current state, and the forclosure rates rising at epidemic proportions arson fire rates are expected to double.

There are only seven arson dogs in the entire state of California.
The San Bernardino City Arson Dog Program is a cost effective, valuable service that the community can not afford to lose.  We need to hold on to what keeps our community safe.

Please show your support of this priceless resource by signing this petition to save the THE SAN BERNARDINO CITY ARSON DOG PROGRAM.

We the undersigned, disagree with your decision to shut down this valuable program.  Many donations have been accumulated in support.  This dog program saves hundreds of man hours for the arson investigators working the fire scenes.  It also saves in Laboratory costs for the County of San Bernardino.  It keeps your investigators from having to wonder or guess if an accelerant was used and where it is located.  This program has been a great success for the community through education, demonstration, and in putting away these prosecuted criminals for the past eight years.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
