There is a silent chronic disease that effects around 1.5million women in the UK alone. This condition is painful and is a life long disease that effects women in so many different ways.
What is this disease? It is Endometriosis. Have you heard of this? If you do not know someone with this disease thatn you would but until I was diagnosed with this condition I had never heard of it.
Not enough is known about this disease, with women having to constantly battle to be taking seriously by the medical profession as it takes on average 7years to be diagnosed.
More needs to be done to raise awareness, raise the profile of this disease as this could be your daughter, wife, girlfriend, mother who is affected by this disease.

I am one of many women who has been diagnosed with endometriosis. This has had a huge impact on my life. It has taken 24yrs for me to be diagnosed and now I live my life in constant pain and chronic fatigue. I won't let this disease beat me but more needs to be done to raise the profile of this disease.
There is no known cause and there is no cure, it is not taken seriously and we need to raise the profile so other women can recognise the potential signs and take action to be diagnosed earlier.
I am collecting figures for shows like Daybreak, This Morning to do a segment on Endometriosis and for the public to hear the real story of what it is like to live with Endometriosis.
