End the Brutal War on America's Wild Horses

Americas Wild horses and burros continue to be subjected to horrific round ups for the purpose of slaughter, continue to be shipped to Canada and to Mexico to be made into horsemeat.  The US banned these slaughter houses in their own country years ago.

Voices around the World need to unite in order to put an end to this.  There are viable measures that can be taken to control populations.  These horses and burros are a national treasure and need be protected and treated as such.

These animals are not only an important part of the American success story, allowing for the exploration and settlement across the vast U.S., these animals are a very important part of American Heritage and History.

Sen. Landrieu states: The last U.S. Slaughterhouses were closed in 2007, and there is virtually no demand for horse meat in this country. However, tens of thousands of horses are inhumanely transported across our borders where they are brutally slaughtered.
