Miss Nina is dedicated to children, literacy and families and fostering the love of books and reading in young children. It is proven that being read to at a young age has a myriad of positive effects on children including improving their own literacy. However some children are not in situations where they can be read to often. In other cases, a child's particular learning style keeps them from being able to sit and read. Putting books to music helps to reach all children, making sure they are all "read to", reaping the innumerable rewards of literacy.
Goodnight Moon is already a classic book that children love, and Miss Nina's song engages them even further with this beautiful book. With a recording of Miss Nina's song, a teacher or parent can turn on the song and give the book to a child so he/she can read (or sing!) along.
