Brewster County Votes

Whereas the Brewster County Democratic Party was advised on March 13th, 2008, to not include hundreds of validly cast votes in its final election canvass, including certain early voting returns, and certain electronic voting returns from election day on March 4th;

Whereas not including these validly cast votes changed the outcome of the race for 83rd District Attorney, and could affect the outcome of national election results;

Whereas the election process as conducted by Brewster County officials has been flawed, secretive, and disrespectful to Brewster County voters, taxpayers, candidates, and party officials, especially when countless thousands of brave Americans are actively risking their lives overseas in the name of Democracy; and

Whereas to ensure that all validly cast votes in Brewster County will be counted, a lawsuit has been filed in Brewster County to restrain the Brewster County Democratic Party from certifying the results of a flawed election process, and Administrative Judge Steve Ables has granted a temporary restraining order to prevent the certification of incomplete results;

I hereby sign this petition in support of the above-mentioned legal action. I also request that a full and thorough investigation of the March 4th, 2008 Brewster County election process be conducted by the Texas Attorney General, including the behavior of all Brewster County officials involved in that process. I want all valid votes cast in Brewster County in the March 4th primary to be counted as elections from the regional to the presidential level may be affected.
