As many of you may know, Rick Magsamen (Coach Mags) has been an integral and influential Football Coach and member of the Maine South High School football family. Coach Mags has positively touched and instructed thousands of young athletes to reach their full potential as an athlete and as a young adult. As a distinguished member of the Maine South Athletic Hall of Fame, he has spent over 20 years coaching football. In these years, his outstanding coaching contributed to Maine South winning 5 State Championships and many other accolades. Coach Mags is an excellent coach that Maine South football players, students, parents and fans want to the school to retain for many years to come. Please join the overwhelming support for Coach Mags and help us spread the word by signing this petition and then forwarding it to everyone in your address book who would like to show their support for this excellent and dedicated Coach. Remember, he is a Maine South Hall of Fame Coach who has clearly earned the right to be treated fairly and with full and appropriate due process. Coach Magsamen has had a positive impact on the Maine South community both on and off the field for over 25 years and has helped literally thousand of young men. All of us current and former players, staff, football parents, and supporters know how much passion he has for the Maine South Football Family. The amount of success that Maine South has enjoyed over the recent years is small compared to the memories, life lessons, and friendships we have developed through Coach Magsamen.
All of us who have signed this petition have the utmost respect for our coach. We hope that our voice serves as a testimony for his contributions. He has made a positive mark in our lives, and we have no doubt Maine South student-athletes would be missing out in something special in his absence. He is a Maine South Hall of Fame coach that has clearly earned the right to be treated fairly and with full and appropriate due process.
