Grammys Should Honor Michael Jackson With Humanitarian Award

Since 2000, the late Michael Jackson has held the Guinness World Record as the Entertainer Supporting the Most Charities.
Ethiopians still benefit from proceeds from sales of copies of the song, "We Are the World" 25 years later,he tended to teen AIDS actvist Ryan White during his final months, he created The Heal the World Foundation  in 1992, and flew supplies into war-torn Sarajevo, located a new liver for a young Hungarian boy named Bela Farkas, and paid for his successful transplant, improved conditions in a Romanian orphanage by threatening to cancel his Bucharest concert if they children didn't have news beds, sheets and more staff members to attend to them within 24 hours, held court with the Black Caucus in Washington to deal with Africa's AIDS crisis, and, having given the second of two concerts in Madison Square Garden the night before the 9-11 Attacks, paid so those dealing with the crisis could stay in hotels, and many other things chronicled on thesilencedtruth.com.
The idea was first presented on a thread, entitled "A Propsition for the MTV Awards" in Amazon.com's "Michael Jackson Community" in August 2010.But as others stated their views on the thread, it was agreed that the Grammys would be a more dignified venue for such a presentation.
An annually presented honor of this nature (not unlike the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award presented by the Academy Awards) could go a long way in restoring the reputation of a wrongfully maligned public figure, and save his image for posterity.
