Film legend Tyrone Power has his centenary in 2014. Please help us get a postage stamp for him by signing this petition.
Starting as a major matinee idol, Tyrone Power ranked as high as #2 at the box office during his 22 year career. As an actor, he not only starred in films such as "The Mark of Zorro," "The Razor's Edge,"The Black Swan," "Witness for the Prosecution," "Nightmare Alley," "The Eddy Duchin Story," and many others, but appeared on Broadway in several plays, and toured the country in "John Brown'sBody."
Tyrone Power served in the Marine Corps during World War II after enlisting as a private, even though his studio could have gotten him a commission. When he died, he was a Major in the Reserves.
To this day, there is a memorial service held for him every year, and in 2008, a tribute to him was held at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on the 50th anniversary of his death. He is very deserving of being honored with a stamp in the Hollywood Legends series and fulfills all of the requirements. Your help is appreciated. In order to get a stamp, the process must begin 3-4 years ahead of time, so we are starting now.
