Help Lucy the Elephant

Lucy is a 34 year old Asian elephant that is at the Valley Zoo in Edmonton,Alberta,Canada. She has been kept mostly alone for the last 12 years.Elephants are not meant to live alone as they are highly social animals.
The Valley Zoo was identified in a 2007 report by elephant biologist Winnie Kiiru as the worst facility for elephants in Canada.
An Edmonton based veterinarian and zoologist,Debi Zimmerman presented a solid fact based argument for moving Lucy to a natural habitat sanctuary.
Let's lend our support and help Lucy get to a natural habitat sanctuary where she can have a full and happy life with others of her kind.
We the undersigned urge you to please take action to save Lucy's life.
Elephants are highly social animals and should never be kept alone.
We ask that you please send her to a natural habitat sanctuary where she will have the companionship of other elephants.
