help us 2 save our dogs from being killed . police in norway

gust 26th 2009 in Oslo, our beloved dogs Shakira and Panja were torn from us by the Norwegian Police.
At that point they had no idea what race the dogs were, but they thought they looked a bit like an American Staffordshire, so they took them away from their family.

When we got to talk to the police later, they told us that they needed documentation for the dogs and which race they are.

That is ID-Chip, with attached pedigree and DNA Coding.
As most people know, mixed-race dogs do not have a pedigree, and that is what we informed the police of, but they kept with their demands and they were already predetermined to euthanize the dogs.

None of our dogs has ever done any wrong, all this is because the police meant that they "looked a bit suspicious".

We handed over all papers we had on the dogs, like vaccination papers, documentation on change of owners, and other various papers we had.

I handed over all the papers personaly and told the police officer about the situation, he then told us that this was no problem, and would be taken care of.


After about a week, we received a bill for the kennel for the sum of NOK 23,500 for our two dogs at Standal Kennel where they keep dogs they suspect of being dangerous.
We kept calling about every day to try to get the truth through, but the investigator said that if it was up to him, he would release the dogs.

We received a letter with the intent to euthenize on the 28th of August 2009, which said that the police assumed they were of the races American Staffordshire and/or American Pitbull Terrier.

Sturla told me over telephone about a tip to get the dogs back, he advised us to move to Sweden, get all the necessary documentation that you are living there, then we will give you the dogs back. In later times he changed his mind...

This is an E-Mail we have received from him:

I have told you, that for the possibility of us transferring the dogs to you from the police, there has to be documentation of where the dogs should be sent to in Sweden, and possible arrangements with whoever will take care of the dogs there, so that the dogs can be transported directly there by the police or Viking(Similar to AAA) straight from the kennel.
Vague plans of moving out of the country is not sufficient. I will also need documentation that the breeds are legal in Sweden.
This is quite urgent, I wil make a new asessment of the situation based on the information I have been provided as soon as the deadline runs out for your clients to pay the new sum.(Tomorrow I believe)


We hired a lawyer from Elden to protest the eutheniaztion.
A complaint was put together; The owner of the dogs is Norwegian, but has now moved to Sweden.
He owns a large farm there, and the complaint said that expatriation of the dogs would be positive for both parties.


The complaint was sent to Sturla, and we waited exitedly for a response.

Then we got a letter from Sturla where he writes;
Even if he has a house in Sweden and lives there now, I cannot believe that it is 100% certain that these dogs will not return to Norway, and so he claims that all we have done is "Pro-forma", bases this on his own opinions and is extremely sly and cunning about it.

This was sent to POD in Oslo;

We have received a bill for NOK 22,200,-

Our attourney then sent a complaint to POD with all the documentation included to show that the owner is now living in Sweden and will be living there permanently.

We tried calling POD but all they said was basically, "Oh well, we'll see what happens, we usually dont discuss matters over phone..etc etc."

It is Obvious that these people do not care at all about what we have to say, basically cold hearted people.

We have been treated Unfairly, and we have been tricked into believing that we actually have a chance of saving our dogs.

We have received another bill for the sum of NOK 18,900,- for kennel, and a bill from our attourney for NOK 27,500,-

We hope that POD will eventually let the dog be transferred to Sweden, but we have our doubts.


These are the bills we have received so far since August:

18,900,-
18,300-

= 82900,'NOK

So a total of NOK 102,700,- for the kennel plus 27,500 for the old attourney who didnt have the time . and 35000 for the new one .
but he is worth it:)
he is a veryg god one.

They use these bills to pressure us, we receive the bills two days before they have to be paid, if we don't pay they will kill our dogs

the police in norway took the dogs away from us because they think that the breed they have is illegal .
(american staffordshire bullterrier and american pitbull terrier)
we have to prove that the dogs aint illegal by showing off a pedigree.
but this is a mixed dogs so its not possible for us to get.
we havent seen the dogs since 26 august 2009.
they have never harmed anyone .
the are not agressive at all-
we are trying to get the dogs to sweeden where they are allowed .
we hahve a house there .
and we live there now .
