Joyland Park Tourist Dollars Do Count For Wichita

We the undersigned,

feel that Joyland Park is a reason for us to visit Wichita.

Joyland has been great family fun for many many years.

When we think Wichita, we think Joyland.

When one goes to Priceline.com and types in Joy in the motel search tab, without indicating what city or state it is in, a link for Joyland Park in Wichita Kansas comes up on the next page. When you select that link by clicking on it, FIFTY ONE MOTELS near Joyland come up complete with mileage from each motel to Joyland Park in Wichita Kansas!
As visitors native to Wichita, and non-native alike, we come and spend our dollars on motels, restaurants, gasoline, and so much more when we come to visit Joyland.

Some of us have family in Wichita and or nearby cities which results in even more money being spent at Joyland and all the hospitality businesses that support our visit and make our visit to home and family more convenient.

We hope that you will take us seriously as %u201Ccustomers%u201D of the City of Wichita.

There are thousands of us, on Facebook, on Myspace and on so many social networking groups.

Many of these groups are talking about exactly what we are talking about here. We want our tourism dollar counted.

Joyland while under good management and ownership prospered even in the worst of times, and has done so for many generations.

With jobs being the way they are now, keeping these FIFTY ONE MOTELS, countless restaurants, other tourism sites that profit because of people going to Joyland is vitally important.

But,  if not coming to Wichita for a primary reason such as Joyland, many of us would prefer to visit our own local scientific or aviation information centers, museums,

art galleries and the like. 

Mom and pop gas stations, big gas stations, shops that sell all kinds of things unique to Wichita or to Kansas, shopping malls, nightclubs, and so much more, will be so much better off with Joyland in the Wichita economy to draw dollars in.

This IS NOT the time to cut out a major attraction that enriches Wichita in so many ways.

One may not see at first, looking only at the parks revenue and profit under a bad period of possible mismanagement, and debts owed by that establishment at that time.

Under great management and with good planning Wichita%u2019s fellow businesses will again  profit from Joyland Park continuing to be a wonderfully fun amusement park,that brings everyone together creating heartwarming memories that will be bringing us back to Joyland and to many of those businesses year after year!

All of the businesses above and so very many more are counting on you, the City of Wichita to serve and represent us, YOUR tourists.

Please keep our financial vote in mind, and protect this great park that we love so very much, that our families have brought us to, and where we are bringing our families to. 
When your vote is for us by saving Joyland you are financially voting

our business back into Wichita!

Thank you very much for your most sincere consideration of us, your visitors that may shop at your fine boutiques or at Walmart, that may hang out at Cow Town or stay at Old Town.
Please do look at the entire economic picture, not just the dollars

of the extremely or moderately affluent, which represents only a small portion of Wichita's total revenue.

Every income group has a integral part to contribute to the absolute well being of Wichita, Kansas.  Keeping all of these businesses in business, by getting Joyland back in business, should matter as much to you and your bottom line, as keeping Joyland open matters to us today and for all the years to come.
