Keep our motorway lights switched on

Research released by Confused.com reveals that the government's midnight switch-off for lights on UK roads poses risks to drivers. The switch-off is a decision by the Highways Agency to turn off the lighting on sections of the motorway between midnight and 5am. The research shows that 67 per cent of UK motorists strongly oppose the switch off, with 47 per cent of all drivers feeling less confident when driving at night.
