Keep Pastor Mark Stewart at Bakerstown UMC!

A petition to the Western PA UMC, Bishop Bickerton to review the reappointment of Pastor Mark Stewart.
This is a petition that will be forwarded to Bishop Thomas Bickerton with respect to the proposed move for our Pastor, Reverend Mark Stewart. It is important to realize that we understand the Itinerant process in the United Methodist Church. What we object to is the way this was handled. In accordance with the United Methodist Book of Discipline, the SPRC and the Pastor are suppossed to be consulted and the Pastor reviewed ANNUALLY. This is a MANDATORY PROCESS (Section 431 & 432 of the Book of Discipline). This never occurred and the decision process has been skirted. We feel this is not in the best interest of the church or the congregation as a whole.
