STRATHCLYDE POLICE SHOULD HANG THEIR HEADS IN SHAME

PC Carr attended an incident on the evening of January 6th 2008 accompanied by a fellow colleague. The officers were sent to protect The Fire Crew from Dalmellington Fire Station in Ayrshire, Scotland,  who were being ambushed by two young hooligans aged 14 and 15 years at the time.

The hooligans had started the fire deliberately, called the Fire Service and then attacked them with burning wood.

WHY

They were bored, there is nothing to do on their estate, so they thought they would create a fire, call out the Emergency Services, wasting valuable time and resources, just so they could have some entertainment. Not satisfied with that, they decided to take it a step further and attack the crew who were trying to deal with the damage they had caused.

When the Police arrived on the scene, this just fuelled them up more.
PC Carr and his colleague gave chase, and they were apprehended.

PC Carr dragged them to the Police van, but was later charged with assault, fined £1500 and sacked from his job.

One hooligan maintained that they had not only been dragged to the van, but hit with such force from PC Carr that he had fallen to ground, was struck up against a bus shelter, and then PC Carr had banged both their heads together.

From this you would expect the boys to have sustained significant injuries such as bumps to the head, from being knocked together,  and bruises to the back, and shoulder blades, as a result of being struck against a shelter. Also to be hit with such force that they were knocked to the  ground, cuts and bruises from this would have been evident.

The boys sustained no injuries in the alleged assault

The boys were said to have been nervous in court, and traumatized from all that had happened, and their stories were likely to be conflicting as a result of this trauma.

The boys were not traumatized whilst attacking a Fire Crew, or when giving a statement to have PC Carr charged with assaulting them, nor are they traumatized now when one youth has stated that 'he is glad PC Carr lost his job' and the other youth 'wishes to know if he is entitled to Criminal Injuries Compensation'

These youths committed a mindless act of violence against those people who are there to protect our communites, all for an evenings entertainment.

They have not been convicted of their crime, their parents are supporting them, would this be the case i wonder if that Fire Crew had been needed elsewhere in an emergency where peoples lives were at risk, but could not attend because they were trying to put out the fire that their little darlings had started, you decide!

PC Carr has been described as an upstanding member of the community, he was also a former Royal Marine and has given 15 years of his life to Policing and had an unblemished record, until that fateful night.

He has the support of his Family,
 Former Colleagues, Dalmellington Fire Crew,
 The Fire Brigades Union,
The Residents of the area he patrolled

An appeal was launched by PC Carr, but has been turned down.

This man has lost his job, a job he loved and was proud to do, and all because two young hooligans wanted 'a bit of fun'

STRATHCLYDE POLICE HAVE FAILED TO MAKE A STATEMENT ON THIS ISSUE, AS THEY DO NOT COMMENT ON FORMER EMPLOYEES.

iT WOULD SEEM THAT STRATHCLYDE POLICE DO NOT SUPPORT THEIR OFFICERS, GOOD OFFICERS WHO TRY THEIR BEST TO POLICE STREETS THAT ARE RIFE WITH CRIME. PREFERRING TO LISTEN TO THE THUGS THAT ARE CREATING HAVOC, ASSAULTING EMERGENCY CREWS, COMMITTING ARSON, THESE OFFICERS HAVE A HARD ENOUGH TIME DOING THE JOB THAT THEY DO, AND IT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY GOING OUT TO PATROL THESE STREETS AND NOT KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO COME UP AGAINST.

tHE LEAST YOU EXPECT IS FOR YOUR SUPERIOR OFFICERS TO SUPPORT YOU IN TIMES OF NEED, BELIEVE WHAT YOU SAY AND STAND UP FOR YOU IN COURT, NOT CHARGE YOU, FINE YOU AND SACK YOU FOR DOING YOUR JOB.

STRAYTHCLYDE POLICE YOU SHOULD HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME, THIS CAUSE HAS GONE GLOBAL, AND PEOPLE ACROSS THE WORLD, INCLUDING OTHER FIRE CREWS AND POLICE OFFICERS ARE WAITING TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT.

IS IT NOT ABOUT TIME YOU SPOKE UP FOR  A FORMER OFFICER AND COLLEAGUE, AND GAVE HIM YOUR BACKING RATHER THAN THE YOBS WHO CRAETED THIS WHOLE FIASCO IN THE FIRST PLACE?

IS IT NOT ABOUT TIME THAT THOSE THUGS WERE ACTUALLY GIVEN THE PUNISHMENT THEY DULY DESERVE?

IS IT NOT ABOUT TIME THAT YOU SAW SENSE, LISTENED TO THE PUBLIC WHO PAY YOUR WAGES AND WANT JUSTICE DONE?

IS IT NOT ABOUT TIME THAT PC CARR WAS REINSTATED IN HIS JOB, GIVEN AN APOLOGY FOR THE UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL WAY THAT THIS CASE HAS BEEN HANDLED, PROMOTED AND GIVEN A MEDAL FOR HIS BRAVERY IN APPREHENDING TWO VIOLENT CRIMNALS, MINORS OR NOT, CRIMINALS THEY ARE.

iF YOU DO THE CRIME YOU DO THE TIME

NOT IN STRATHCLYDE YOU DONT, IF YOU DO THE CRIME YOU ARE REWARDED, NO WONDER OUR STREETS ARE CONSIDERED UNSAFE.

STRATHCLYDE POLICE, YOU HAVE A LOT TO CONSIDER, AND REMEMBER, THE WORLD IS WATCHING.
