Petition For Removal of Father Pfleger

Copy to the Vatican

Petition for his Removal of Father Michael Pfleger from the  Priesthood.

He is a disgrace to the Catholic church and its sacrements and everything that is holy.

He condones and incites criminal behavior and calls for the breaking of the ten commandments.

He promotes known radical hate mongers.

Example below of just one of his many escapades,  also please view the interview video attached.

'Snuff' the Gun Shop Owner, Priest Says

An Illinois gun-rights group says it plans to complain to the Catholic Church after a Chicago priest at the weekend appeared to call for the murder of a suburban gun shop owner.

During a Rainbow/PUSH Coalition protest at Chuck's Gun Shop & Range on Saturday, the Rev. Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina's Church, threatened to "snuff" shop owner John Riggio.

The Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) has posted online what is says is a recording of Pfleger's remarks.

PflegerIn the audio clip, the priest is heard being introduced to the crowd by the Rev. Jesse Jackson. Immediately therafter, Pfleger launches into a tirade.

"I want the NRA [National Rifle Association] to understand - you have a lot of money, but money can't buy moral authority and it can't buy justice or freedom, and we will fight you, NRA," he says.

"We will fight you on every angle [sic], no matter how much money you've got, we will embarrass you, and we will embarrass every legislator that takes money from you. We will call them out by name, by district. We will expose you, legislators."

Pfleger then turns his attention to Riggio. "He's the owner of Chuck's. John Riggio. R-i-g-g-i-o. We're going to find you and snuff you out.  you know you're going to hide like a rat. You're going to hide but like a rat we're going to catch you and pull you out. We are not going to allow you to continue to hide when we're here bleep"

"We're going to keep coming back, and like Reverend Jackson says, it takes civil disobedience, if it takes whatever it takes bleep, we're going to snuff out John Riggio, we're going to snuff out legislators that are voting,  and we are coming for you because we are not going to sit idly. Keep on fighting, people. Keep on fighting, keep on fighting."

St. Sabina describes itself as a "Bible-teaching" African-American Catholic Church.

The day before the anti-gun protest, the church hosted former Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who was making a rare public appearance. Pfleger was quoted as describing the controversial Muslim activist as "a gift from God to a sick, sick world."

ISRA Executive Director Richard Pearson called it "shocking" to hear a priest advocate the murder of a gun shop owner "who has never committed a crime in his life."

"Pfleger's comments were disgusting and dangerous," Pearson said. "And, I seem to remember that the Fifth Commandment frowns on murdering one's neighbor," he added.

"This week, I'll be penning a letter to the Archbishop, expressing my concerns over Rev. Pfleger's comments," continued Pearson. "I would hope that the Archbishop would reply with words of comfort for Mr. Riggio, his family, state legislators, and all others who were injured by Rev. Pfleger's thoughtless, inflammatory remarks."

In a message on the church's website, Pfleger says he believes that "we are called by God to build this church in a world filled with division, alienation and racism in order that we may be a witness to the world that it is possible and that the love of God is stronger than the hate of Satan."

Rev Wright with pfleger !

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright got a raucous standing ovation when he entered Saint Sabina church on the South Side on Friday night, video from WBBM-TV showed. Members yelled Hallelujah! as Wright embraced the Rev. Michael Pfleger, Saint Sabina pastor.

The smiling Wright accepted an invitation to give the benediction at the Roman Catholic church but did not address the furor over his past sermons.

Afterward, he went into an office off the pulpit to greet audience members.

Cardinal George Tells Reverend Pfleger to step back - BUT Rev Pfleger is Bucking!!! Saying No to the Cardinal???

June 3, 2008
To put recent events in some perspective, I have asked Father Michael Pfleger, Pastor of St. Sabina Parish, to step back from his obligations there and take leave for a couple of weeks from his pastoral duties, effective today. Fr. Pfleger does not believe this to be the right step at this time. While respecting his disagreement, I have nevertheless asked him to use this opportunity to reflect on his recent statements and actions in the light of the Church regulations for all Catholic priests. I hope that this period will also be a time away from the public spotlight and for rest and attention to family concerns.
I hope also that the life of St. Sabinas parish may continue in uninterrupted fashion. Fr. William Vanecko, Pastor of St. Kilian%u2019s parish, will be temporary administrator of St. Sabinas and will assure the full complement of ministerial services during this period. I ask the members of St. Sabinas parish to cooperate with him and to keep him and Fr. Pfleger in their prayers. They are in mine.

( ArchBishop,  We want him defrocked, removed !)

Comments: Father Michael Pfleger and the Presidential Campaign"

("Living Faith", Sunday, June 8 - Tenth Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Just a thought. George P | 6/8/2008 As a current practicing Catholic and a product of 12 years of Catholic School and a parent of children currently attending Catholic school, I must say that I have never in my life witnessed such ostentacious behavior from a Catholic priest. It was truly shocking to see the lack of humilty and reverence. Lisa A

| 6/6/2008 Fr. Pfleger acusses Sen. Hillary Clinton of feeling entitled to the Democratic Nomination.

I wonder if perhaps it is he who feels entitled to his Preisthood at St. Sabina's Catholic Church.

I wonder if the parishioner's loyalty is centered on Fr. Pfleger or on Christ and His Church. Arturo Figueroa

| 6/6/2008 He is disgraceful, and should be dimissed permenately. He is not a role model to anyone, and his behavior was not only despicable, He is SATAN In Disquise..South Carolina Diane

| 6/5/2008 I too have been taken back by Fathers remarks. We Catholics know that is not acceptable from a priest, BUT rather than making excuses or reasons to leave the Church. I myself have decided to work my faith instead of my mouth!! We all could benefit from more prayer and sacrafice. Larry J Mattingly

| 6/5/2008 I can't blieve a priest could support someone who is so anti-life as Obama. Both need to read the Ten Commandments, not ten suggestions! Thou shall not kill. I'll pray for a change of heart! Judy Pujol

| 6/5/2008 Another self-hating white person, that needs to sell himself out because he hates himself. This guy is not a priest and sure doesn't act or carry himself like one. Joe |
6/5/2008 Pfleger should be fired!!!!! He doesn't deserve to be called Father.. Toni |
6/4/2008 Thank God for the Bishop of that diocese who asked Fr. Pfleger to take a two week break and think about his actions; and for Bill Donahue who continues to defend our faith. May God guide Fr. Pfleger to understand the error of his ways and to seek forgivness from God for crossing bounderies as a Priest. Jeff Ryan |
6/4/2008 It is so sad that Fr.Pfleger would stoop to mocking someone. He had to know that it was unacceptable. The Church has made that clear on numerous occasions. It is not that I particularly like Hilary Clinton...(Both, she and Obama, support abortion.)As Cardinal George said, Fr. Pfleger should have spoken about issues and the fact that Christians have a responsibility to vote for someone whose views are morally acceptable. That is what we should pray for. Lise Godin |
6/4/2008 This guy is way out of line, I'm an east coast Catholic and we need more scandle and bad doctrine like we need a whole in the head. Is this priest off his rocker, how did he get this far. Why hasn't the Cardinal fired him never mind a two week "vacation" to reflect. Not that it's stopped this koko bird from talking. Is there a petition going going, I don't think we as Catholics can remain silent in U.S. look where it got us during the last scandle. I want my complaints sent to Rome. I'm sick of this cover up business. Tacia

| 6/4/2008 St Sabina , the church Phleger preaches in, is as big a SHAM as is the saint itself. I looked up St Sabina as I do many saints from time to time, and she has little known about her, in fact they even say she might have been based upon a myth. Never in all my Catholic life, have I ever known a myth to be cannonized?
Therefore Pfleger and his church should also be seen as a sham by all Catholics. The Government should first, remove its "tax free" statis. If this isnt the worst expression of church expressing state, I dont know what is? Elinor Dandrea

| 6/4/2008 Story on priest backing a candidate (Obama). I know I read that Obama believes in partial abortion, which a priest cannot distance himself from... and the cardinal just slapping the priest%u2018s wrist is not going far enough! what happen to our core beliefs....someone give this priest a lesson on catholic-quick....I think he should join another faith that he can embrace. m.winter |
6/3/2008 I would like to ask if you can please direct me to who or where I can have my voice heard regarding the Catholic Priest Pfleger that spoke at Trinity Church on Sunday?? I am appalled at what I heard this priest say representing the Catholic Church. This man has done GREAT Damage to the Church. To hear what he said about another American that is running for President of this great country is horrifying.

And to make a joke of what he was saying like he some comic on Saturday Night Live.

I am ashamed to call myself a Catholic at this moment.

How can the Catholic church keep a man like this to be a priest, if he wants to talk all the race and American garbage let him become a representative for Trinity Church.

I am so upset over what I heard and seen, it is disgusting!!

My family and I would appreciate any guidance to have our opinion heard, perhaps you could pass this message along to the higher ups. Margarita M |
6/3/2008 What is going on in the Catholic church when they have kook priests like Pfleger running around talking politics like a clown??? What about separation of church and state??? bernetta b

| 6/2/2008 I was an alter boy back in the 1950s. A good Catholic, I attended services with my family for many years, even with the scandalous reports of perversions on young boys. My affiliation with the church has come to an end as a result of a man who wears the cassock today. His name is Father Michael Pfleger. He is a disgrace to the church, to the United States of America and to humanity. I cannot in good conscience be associated with a church which allows this man to continue his missionary. ArchBishop overlooks child abusers and a radical, racist, pro-abortion priest
(Fr. Pfleger) and lets him stay at the same parish for over 30 years !
Even allowing Pfleger to adopt 3 little boys !
ArchBishop makes very bad decisions, he plans to reinstate Pfleger on June 16th,
inspite of a nationwide outcry.
Previous Poor Decisions made by the ArchBishop...
While ArchBishop George Francis of Chicago has had to deal with the fallout from
clergy sexual abuse cases from many years ago, he has come under fire for his
actions during a recent abuse case. George acknowledged that he had made
mistakes in the case of Rev. Daniel McCormack, who was charged with two counts
of aggravated criminal sexual abuse on January 21, 2006. It is alleged that
McCormack had abused two boys repeatedly from 2001 to 2005. Cardinal George has
faced criticism for allowing McCormack to remain at his post after allegations
first surfaced in August of 2005. McCormack was told to not have any
unsupervised contact with minors and had a personal monitor assigned to him.
Cardinal George has since indicated that had he known several months ago
what he knew now that he would have removed McCormack from his duties right
away. Cardinal George took some responsibility for the matter.
Despite claims of following the churchs' procedures for dealing with
child-molesting priests, Cardinal George made no attempt to contact the police.

It is all up to you now as individuals..I will just become another "recovering catholic."

Thank you all for your participation.
