In order to inform and and empower students on matters invovling homosexual and transgender matters at Roswell High School, it is necessary to have the proper materials and support from peers, staff, and parents alike. The goal of a GSA at Roswell High is to provide those materials as well as promote tolerance for members of the LGBT community and to provide unbiased eduacation to allies of those members of the LGBT community. By signing this petition, you agree to support the founding of a Gay-Straight Alliance at Roswell High School and to promote a stronger connection between the gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered students and straight students.
We the undersigned understand the need for a Gay-Straight Alliance at Roswell High School in order to promote tolerance and understanding between both staight and LGBT students. By signing this petition, we promote the creation of a liason between those students, as well as wish to promote an alliance that will enhance the overall community at RHS. This petition is meant to show the need, as well as desire, for a group where students and teachers alike will feel comforted in a hypocrisy-free, unbiased environment. Also, we sign to convey the wish not to begin a club based solely on sexuality, but instead to enhance tolerance within us, the undersigners, as well as our peers.
