Save Daisy and her doggy siblings from their (alleged) abuser

To the City of  Slater, Missouri Police Department and Prosecuting Attorney of Saline County.
We are saddened and dismayed at the decision that you've made in regards to the beautiful pup Daisy being returned to her alleged abuser, Austin Akin. Obviously there are differing interpretations as to what the definition of  the abuse of an animal is but per Missouri Statutes we believe that Daisy was indeed abused and neglected per the following specific clauses of the Statutes: 578.009.1; 578.012. (2) and (3). Additionally, since the inception of the Save Daisy page on Sunday, May 8, 2011, the Save Daisy page has gained 4,551 fans worldwide, so that is telling us that 4,551 people agree with our interpretation of  what abuse and neglect is. Animals do not have a voice, we humans are their voices and advocates. We pray that Daisy does not suffer further at the hands of her owner and if she does, that some of the blame fall squarely on your shoulders. Thank you for your time and the following are quotes from very wise men.
Albert Schweitzer, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, said, "Anyone who has accustomed himself to the regard of life of any living creature as being worthless, is in danger of arriving also at the idea of worthless human lives."
Mohandas Guandi said, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it's animals are treated."
Regards
