We the undersigned are opposed the Tri-County Water project that would result in the damming of Shoal Creek in the Ozark National Forest; Mount Magazine Ranger District. We feel that the site in question for this project is a valuable resource not only to the surrounding community but also to the many visitors and tax payers that utilize this unique recreation area. This petition is to signify the overwhelming public concern about the end result of this project. Everyone that has signed the petition is requesting that this organization do a Formal Environmental Impact Study before proceeding any further. We further object to any approval of the proposed project without  a more thorough investigation into possible viable alternatives; which would include a cost-analysis of each alternative. This petition will be turned in to the U.S. Forest Service Mount Magazine District Office and the Main office for this region.
