Stop BODIES...The Exhibition

To: The City Council of Winnipeg

We the undersigned REQUEST IMMEDIATE PUBLIC TRANSPARENCY OF CONSENT regarding BODIES...The Exhibition owned by Premier Enterprises, Inc. that is currently showing in Winnipeg in collaboration with True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd. and S2BN Entertainment.  We request that True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd. and S2BN Entertainment immediately obtain from Premier Enterprises, Inc. written documentation demonstrating the source of each body and body part, the cause of death, and the deceased consent for the use of their bodies in BODIES...The Exhibition.  If True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd. and S2BN Entertainment cannot obtain this documentation, we demand that the City of Winnipeg City Council CLOSE DOWN BODIES...The Exhibition.

Ethics for research involving animal and/or human subjects is a well established and accepted process in Canadian society.  To date, Premier Enterprises, Inc. has failed to produce verified consent forms for the people whose bodies are displayed within the exhibit.  This failure to produce documentation clearly violates the ethical standards demanded by the Canadian people.  Several other communities where Premier Enterprises, Inc. has brought this exhibit raised concerns about how the bodies were obtained.  The city of Seattle recently banned BODIES...The Exhibition after Premier Enterprises, Inc. failed to produced verified consent forms for the peoples whose bodies are displayed.  Winnipeg is soon to become the proud home to the Canadian Museum of Human Rights.  Unless proper documentation can be produced by True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd. and S2BN Entertainment from Premier Enterprises, Inc. BODIES...The Exhibition is an affront to the Canada's newest national museum.
