STOP DNR's proposal to issue licenses to hunt wolves in MN.

Only recently taken off the endangered species list, wolves are considered by many to be the most beautiful, graceful animals on the planet. The DNR is now proposing a license to hunt and trap these beautiful animals. We are not dealing with the problem of overpopulation here, folks, and the last time people were permitted to hunt and trap wolves in Minnesota 40 years ago, the population was nearly wiped out (this is what put them on the endangered list in the first place). Let's stop this before it is passed!

We the undersigned ask that you do not sign the bill proposed by the DNR for the issuing of 6,000 licenses to hunt and trap our Minnesota wolves. These animals are considered by many to be the most beautiful, graceful animals on the planet, and there are defensive alternatives which farmers can take in order to protect their livestock. We are concerned that many of these licenses will go not to farmers, but trophy hunters who desire to make sport out of hunting animals formerly threatened by extinction.

Please consider this petition and do not sign that bill. Thank you.
