STOP the White Party AT THE MIAMI SEAQUARIUM!

It is deeply disturbing to learn that the White Party, a fundraiser being held to support Care Resource, a non-profit HIV/AIDS service organization, hosted an over the top production that lasted till dawn with live TECHNO MUSIC and a FIREWORKS spectacular at the MIAMI SEAQUARIUM on Friday, November 25th from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
Miami Seaquarium is the captive home of orca Lolita (one of the oldest orcas in captivity) along with 30 dolphins. Loud noises are EXTREMELY DISTRESSING and can be very harmful to the health and well-being of the Marine Mammals being held captive at the Miami SeaQuarium.
PLEASE SIGN this Petition to URGE the White Party event organizers to relocate this event to another venue in the interest of the health and well-being of the marine mammals at the Miami Seaquarium; AND to URGE THE MIAMI SEAQUARIUM TO NOT ALLOW THIS EVENT TO TAKE PLACE ON THEIR PROPERTY next year!
The White Party is a fundraiser supporting people living with HIV/AIDS. We applaud their cause and efforts, but we also want to protect the health and well-being of LOLITA and her DOLPHIN friends at the MIAMI SEAQUARIUM!!!
CASE IN POINT: Fishermen in Taiji use "banger poles" to make loud noises that disorient dolphins migrating in the waters of the Pacific Ocean. The bangers confuse the animals to the point that they can be herded into The Cove for slaughter. We the undersigned respectfully ask that you strongly reconsider hosting the White Party event on November 25th at the Miami Seaquarium for the sake, health, and well being of the marine mammals living there.
The night's events, loud DJ music and Fireworks, lasting from 8p.m. until 4a.m. can be extremely distressing to the Lolita the Orca and the 30 Dolphins living in captivity at the seaquarium, and can cause permanent damage and even death to these acoustically sensitive animals.
Two Dolphins recently died after a loud Rave that took place just 50 yards (150 feet) from the auarium where they were being housed. The White Party will only be a few feet from the tanks at the Seaquarium. We can't take another risk at losing yet more precious marine mammals being forced to live in captivity and endure the extreme noise pollution caused by loud music playing continuously for 8 hours and ending in a booming fireworks spectacular. We have a duty to protect captive animals.
We applaud your cause and efforts in raising funds/awareness for people living with HIV/AIDS, but we also kindly ask that you take our cause into consideration as well: the health and well-being of marine mammals living in captivity at the Miami Seaquarium.
