Stop NJ Surcharge Extortion

This petition is to see how many people are affected by New Jersey's most masterful extortion scam to date.  The New Jersey Surcharge Program.  This is when the state applies a 3 year fine in that they call a Surcharge.  In addition to your court appointed fines, they will add this surcharge if you a convicted of a moving violation while driving in New Jersey, even if you reside in another state.  The extra fine can range from $125 to Thousands of dollars.  The driver must pay this fine for three consecutive years or have his/her license suspended.  If your license is supsended, they will charge you a $100 restoration fee then you can get your license back.  So, you can actually pay your court appointed fine, then pay your surcharge in full, and New Jersey will keep your license suspended until you pay them the extra restoration fee.  In addition, I know someone who used to work for a company called A.C.S./PRWT  They are responsible for a lot of NJ's services like, Child support Collecion, NJ Family Care insurance, and NJ Surcharge.  I found out that the state of New Jersey collects at least 1 Million Dollars per day in Surcharge payments.  I found out that they had an automated phone payment system that allowed extontionees to pay over the phone with a Credit Card. The system took ten times as much money from your account than you requested, So if you wanted to pay $70 on your surcharge through the automated system, it would take $700 from you instead.  The way to have it stopped is to contact your financial institution and have them cancel the transaction.  The employees of the NJ Surchage program were told my management NOT TO DISCLOSE that information the the victims that called in requesting relief from the overcharge. The interest on a New Jersey Surchage is 3% per day!! New Jersey will also garnish your wages and take your income tax return to ge this surcharge money. The program was developed to help keep NJ's insurance rate low, and to keep the roads in excellent condition.  NJ had the worst road condition in the U.S. and has the highest insurance rates in the U.S., so were is the money going? Then somehow, most of the people hit with the surcharge don't know about until they try to renew their licenses.  An employee of PRWT told me that they get many people who drive as for a living crying beause their jobs are in jeopardy for something they didn't even know existed. These calls are mostly coming for Non-NJ residents that have gotten a ticket while driving in NJ.  I believe New Jersey is the only state do due this.  New Jersey is an extortion state, the population has been on a steady decline due to a mass exodus of the residents from that state seeking financial refuge.  I personaly, have had a surcharge, then read what it was about.  As soon as I found out it was another NJ extortion scam.  I paid my surcharge and restoration fee.  The clerk told me to go to a line to have my photo taken and to get my license.  I didn't even bother.  I knew that I would never get another NJ DL, and I would try my best not to drive in NJ.  I live in PA now, and I have a PA DL.  I still rarely go to NJ unless I have someone that is willing to risk driving in that state.
