Support Arizona Animal Cruelty Registry Law

Please sign the petition to promote an Arizona Animal Cruelty Registry Law.  A Cruelty Registry Law will list people convicted of animal torture, mutilation, intentional killings, sexual abuse and animal fighting.   Arizona needs a law to require any person convicted of a felony involving animal cruelty to register with the police and provide an array of personal information along with a current photograph, much like sexual predators.  The information, along with the registrants' specific offense, would then be posted on the Internet.

While some might view a Registry for Animal Abusers extreme, the violent link between animal and human abuse represents a strong connection that requires immediate action to protect society - especially children.  Animal abusers are cruel and dangerous and the public has a right to know who they are and where they live.

If you believe there are certain behaviors that a civilized society should not tolerate, show your support and commitment to ending this horrific form of violence.

Please sign the Petition and Contribute to the cause.  All contributions go directly to ending animal cruelty, child abuse, and domestic violence.  SWIVL has no paid employees and is staffed by only volunteers.

It's time for honest, law abiding citizens to require those that commit horrible, torturous acts to be responsible and accountable for their actions.  Animal abusers are not victims to be understood and analyzed - they are individuals that need to be identified and monitored so the cycle of violence is once and for all stopped.  Join the SWIVL Network for more information

We the undersigned believe the children and families of Arizona need a law that requires anyone convicted of a felony involving animal cruelty to register with the police.  As responsible, law abiding citizens we need to protect our families and children from people convicted of animal torture, mutilation, intentional killings, sexual abuse and animal fighting.

An Arizona Animal Cruelty Registry Law will identify people with a history of animal abuse, as well as serve as an early warning for future crimes - people guilty of child abuse and domestic violence often have a history of animal cruelty.  As Governor, your support of an Arizona Animal Cruelty Registry Law will require individuals convicted of a felony involving animal cruelty to register with the police and provide an array of personal information, much like sexual predators.  This information, along with the registrants' specific offense, would then be posted on the Internet.
