The bushmeat trade - the cruel drive-by's on animals

In Asia and West Africa animals native to the area such as elephants, chimpanzees and other species of monkeys, jaguars, and birds are being murdered because of their in demand exotic meat. Hunters drive through these animal's territories and homes shooting at any moving object, selfishly thinking of only themselves. These poor, helpless creatures are often times burned, cut, shot, and caught in snare traps often times getting free but painfully losing a limb. This trade is relentlessly increasing in popularity, pushing these animals to the brink of extinction. This needs to stop now or else these animals will be gone. Government officials need to realize how much impact this trade is causing to our wildlife. Although the Government is trying to stop this, it deserves more attention then it is given. These animals don't have a voice to speak up against this. You can be their voice. Please sign.
