Urge Paul McCartney to speak to Pete Best

Since Pete Best was fired as drummer for The Beatles Aug. 16, 1962, after two years of keeping the beat for John, Paul, George (and various other temporary members), not one of the Beatles has ever spoken a word to Pete. Yes, it's terrific that some of Pete's work was included in The Beatles Anthology, Vol. 1, thus setting him up very comfortably for life, but would it hurt to drop the guy a Christmas card or something? Ringo is exempt from this request, as he didn't know Pete well, and replaced him in the group, but Paul, why not give the Best Man a whuzzup?? Is it simple embarrassment that prevented communication all these years? Come on, put it behind you, Sir Paul. After all, as you sang, "As long as you and I are here, put it there." Heck, maybe hire him to play tambourine on a track on your next album or something, eh? After all, his mum lent you an important venue in the early days, The Casbah Club, and your dear friend, the late Neil Aspinall, was the father of Pete's half-brother, Roag. It's all in the Beatle family, don't you think? So sign here to urge Sir Paul to give Pete a shout.
