“Justice“ in honour of Devan Let’s make a change !

I believe if you commit a horrible crime and you are old enough to know right from wrong and you go against moral human ethic you should be tried as an adult. Devan was 14 years , a good kid that would help is mother rescue animals and find them loving homes, and Unfortunately a victim of being bullied. On Monday Oct 7th Devan went to school With his mum to rightfully ask for his bike back that was stolen from him from a group of kids that had been bullying him on the daily ,In result Devan was stabbed in front of his helpless mother which lead to his death in front of her eyes. As a parent  I want justice for Devan's family. I want to pass a law in honour of Devan's life that  if you should commit a hate crime such as murder as a young offender you don't have the right or choice to plea Under the YOA in the court of law, you shall be tried as a Adult no if, ands or but's ! The Young Offenders  Act needs amendments!  No more day care at the youth detention centre and a slap on the wrist ,you're going to jail and serving Life  ! There needs to be more of a consequence , or these youth crimes will carry on and become worse and it should not be  tolerated.  We want to make sure that the magistrate understands that we as parents, siblings, family , teachers, us as a COMMUNITY  are outraged ! There needs to be a example set , we are far to lenient on young offenders and the justice system is failing, we will NOT  tolerate bullying, violence, Murder !  Every child has the right to feel safe in their surroundings especially school. Please sign and SHARE and Share again  for Devan and his family and the future safety of all of our children. Only we can enforce change , let's use our voices, come together  and make a change in honour of Devan.
