Farmington does NOT Support Pet Store Opening Soon!!!

A pet store called Puppy Palace plans on opening soon in Farmington, CT. They will be selling puppies and they're already advertising them like furniture, with options for "100% financing with $0 down", and (typically) these types of stores sell puppies from puppy mills - where else do they get a constant flow of puppies? Responsible breeders never affiliate with pet stores because they want to know who's getting their dogs.

The Puppy Palace claims they are proud that all their puppies "come from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) licensed breeders", but DO NOT BE FOOLED and assume that this equals humane sources. In Defense of Animals (IDA) reveals that a puppy mill with such licensing is still allowed legally to:
-Confine dogs in cages 6 inches larger than their bodies for their entire lives
-Provide only crated wire flooring in cages
-Deny dogs adequate exercise and socialization
-Keep dogs in extreme temperatures for up to 4 hours
-Breed dogs repeatedly and excessively with no limits
-Provide no regular veterinary care other than annual visits

This business plans on opening in 23 other towns and this will cause a horrible increase in puppy mills; where dogs live in horror their entire lives. Stacked in dirty cages, minimal food & water, no medical care, and forced to have 10-20 litters because they're seen as easy money-makers.

Let's come together to show town officials that Farmington residents do not want the town supporting this type of place!
